Introduction: Systemic photobiomodulation using intravascular laser presents anti-inflammatory and metabolic effects; however, its response may be influenced by nutritional status. Objective: To synthesize evidence on the interactionbetween systemic intravascular laser photobiomodulation and nutritional supplementation and to propose a pre-photobiomodulation nutritional assessment checklist. Method: Narrative review (2015–2025) conducted in PubMed, SciELO, Web of Science, and Cochrane databases, including studies on systemic intravascular laser photobiomodulation, supplementation, and inflammatory or healing outcomes. Results: Systemic intravascular laser photobiomodulation
modulates cytokines and promotes tissue repair; proteins, amino acids, and antioxidants support wound healing and inflammation control. There are no robust clinical trials on the direct interaction, and protocols are heterogeneous. Conclusion: The integration of ILIB and supplementation has biological plausibility for a synergistic effect but lacks clinical validation. The proposed checklist supports standardization and may guide practice and future research.
